Fortress.Here the fortress stands, guarding soul and heart,  Erect it weathers emotional onslaught;  Immune to sensation, depart  And behold my walls.   
A whirlwind of knives,  Intent on the slice,  Like leaves, sail to the ground,  Blunt by armour of ice.   
Never again will the blood slowly seep  Through cracks in my hearts ruined exterior;  Pain numbed that caused the tears I'd weep,  But not forgotten.   
My evanescence;  Empty is the soul,  'Cept for echoes of fissure,  'Tis but a bottomless hole  Of cavernous essence. Fortress.

TsunamiWe’ve been shown again that our home planet’s rule  Though usually fair, was yesterday cruel.  Subjected we’ve been to Mother Nature’s culling,  So many dead, all forsaken of lulling.  Their souls float above us, from this world they're released,  We mourn your loss, please rest in peace.  The stranded children survivors, crying for their mummy,  My heart bleeds – behold the real victims of tsunami.  A place that depicts the remnants of our lost duel,  Corpses litter the land, like fragments of a shattered jewel.

Hey people,
Sorry I've not been able to come on to DA for like a month now. I'mma use my same old excuse and just say that my studies are getting pretty intense now, and, as much as I dislike it, I just don't have as much as time to read your work as I want :(

I submitted a poem today, it's the first one I've written in ages, so it's a bit rusty and not awe-inspiring, methinks. I got that 'urge' and took a break from an essay to bang the thing out of my head...hopefully I will be able to concentrate better now that it's on paper.

Hope you're all okay, and enjoying life. You only get one remember!


I'll read some people's work here and there, but please forgive my truancy, it can't be helped at the moment.
